April Board Meeting Notes

Spring Pond Homeowners Association Monthly Board Meeting
April 11, 2017

The monthly board meeting was called to order by Sally LeMon, President. All members were present with one member excused, Ernie Wheeler.

Secretaries report had been given previously to all Board members. (Report is on file) Motion to accept with no corrections or additions was made by Gerry Rainforth and seconded by Jane Laughton. Passed 4-0.

Treasurers report was presented by Anita Haskell (Report is on file) Anita reported that there were two homeowners who were delinquent with paying their homeowners dues. She asked the Board for advice on how to handle this.

The Board requested Sally Hudgins, Secretary to notify these homeowners by registered mail with return receipt.Motion to accept this report was made by Beth Kaplan and seconded by Jane Laughton. Passed 4-0.

Architecture Committee
No action.

By-laws and Covenants Committee
Beth Kaplan has updated all these documents. Motion made by Jane Laughton and seconded by Gerry Rainforth to accept the proposed changes to both documents. Passed 5-0 (Ernie
Wheeler had given his proxy vote to the Board).

Election Committee
Jan Schlapak has notified all homeowners of the openings on next years Board.

Landscaping Committee
Gerry Rainforth, Chairman met with her committee today and her report is on file.

Long Range Planning Committee
No action.

Maintenance Committee
Sally LeMon reported that Dave Dewey has been notified of the siding repairs needed on several homes.

A paving company has been contacted to give an estimate on a repair needed on the asphalt on #12 Ruch Lane.

Beth Kaplan reported that only a pair of shutters is needed to complete the Community Center project.

We are awaiting the York Code Enforcement officer to make a final inspection.

Plowing Committee
The season is over.

Social Committee
No action.

Welcoming Committee
This committee will need to update the packet before interviewing any potential new homeowner.

Old Business
A discussion was held regarding tag sales and garage sales.

New Business
A form has been prepared to give to homeowners at the annual meeting regarding emergency numbers.

Motion to adjourn.

Spring Pond Estates Homeowners Association Board Candidates

The two year terms of Beth Kaplan, Sally LeMon, and Ernie Wheeler end in June, 2017.

Nominations are now open to members who would like to serve on the Board of Directors. Three positions are available.

If you are interested, please contact Janice Schlapak, Chairman of the Nominating Committee at 207-363-6606, or forward a statement of intent to Janice at 4 Ruch Lane, York, ME 03909. If you wish, you may include a brief biography along with the reasons why you wish to be elected to the Board. Provide this information to Janice on or before May 1, 2017. All candidates' names will be placed on the ballot for election.

Ballots will be handed out or mailed to residents by Monday, May 8 and must be returned to Janice Schlapak no later than Wednesday, May 24, 2017.

Ballots will be counted on Friday, May 24, 2017.



AND PLEASE BE SURE TO MARK YOUR CALENDAR WITH THE DATE OF THE ANNUAL MEETING: TUESDAY, JUNE 13, 2017.

More Sad News

I spoke with Bob Stewart this evening and he shared with me that his dear wife, Jean passed two weeks ago.

He will remain in Florida until the summer.

Monthly Board Meetings are held in the Community Center on the second Monday of each month at 6:30 PM.

The next meeting is Tuesday, April 11, 2017.

All homeowners are welcomed to attend.
