Recycling Pick Up Day

From Liz Hayden, Administrative Assistant, York Public Works:

To all Spring Pond Residents-

There has been much confusion over which week your recycling is picked up-- after having several conversations with Casella - they will now be picking up all of Spring Pond development on White Week/ also called week 2. Your first recycling day will be tomorrow- Jan 28th- The following roads are included: Styles Lane, Orin Lane, Ruch Lane and Spring Pond Circle.

I am hoping you can help me get the word out to all the residents in your neighborhood-The correction will be made in the annual Trash brochures when they go out next fall.

Please feel free to call if you have any questions- 363-1010

Thank you for your help

Game Night Fun!

We had lots of fun with our first Game Night.

Rather than breaking up into smaller groups, we decided to play games where everyone could participate at the same time.

We played some Trivia. The Baby Boomer edition questions were hard! We switched to the regular edition and broke up into two teams. That worked out well.

We played some Left, Center, Right. If you haven't played before, you can learn to play in a minute, all ages can play (the grandkids play at family gatherings), and there's no strategy - you just roll the dice.

And finally, we played some Catch Phrase. It's a really nice Password-style game. You give clues and your teammates try to guess the phrase. While some of us did forget which team we were on (you know who you are), we had lots of fun with it.

It was really nice to get together on a winter night with good friends, have some great snacks, some drinks, and a lot of laughs!

Thanks to everyone who came and played! And thanks for bringing such nice snacks and games!

I'll set up another date and time for February. We can play these games, and try some other games, too.

Join Us for Game Night!

Friends,

Join us for Game Night

Wednesday, January 15th at 6:30
in the Community Center

We'll set up the tables and chairs, have some snacks and drinks, chat, play some games, and have some fun.

Please bring whatever you would like to drink. If you like you can bring a snack. And if you have a game you like, bring that, too.

Any game would work - preferably one that can be played by 4 players or even more. We'll bring:

  • Left, Center, Right
  • Trivial Pursuits (with the Baby Boomer Edition cards)
  • Rummikub
  • Password
  • Hedbanz
  • And we'll bring a few decks of cards

If you have an interesting game, bring it along and teach everyone to play. If enough people come, we can have more than one game going at a time.

Any questions? Just ask.

Joe and Deb Strazzere
