Edward J. Maney, 85 formerly of Springfield, MA passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 in Portsmouth Regional Hospital from complications after a fall.
He was born March 27, 1935 in Springfield, MA a son of the late Edward A. and Jeannette (Hamel) Maney.
He worked for Harry Grodsky & Co in Springfield, MA for 42 years before retiring in 1999. He worked part-time at Jackson’s Hardware in Kittery until 2019.
He loved golfing and the ocean. He will be remembered as a loving, caring and humorous man who loved spending time with his family.
He leaves his wife of 64 yrs, Rosemary (Johnston) Maney; a son Edward "Ted" J. Maney Jr. and wife Mary of Wakefield, MA; 3 daughters, Cynthia Bartels of Springfield, MA, Marguerite Bacon of York, Maine and Maribeth "Beth" Jimenez and husband Ray of York, Maine; a sister Theresa Florek of Westfield, MA; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
