September Board Meeting Minutes

SPRING POND ESTATES HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION

BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING

September 12, 2022

President Bill Bannister called the meeting to order with all Board Members present

The Minutes of the August Meeting were accepted as read.

The Treasurer’s Report was accepted as presented (Report on File for review)

President Bannister reported that work on revising the Bylaws and Covenants is on-going

Landscaping Chair Jane Brown reported that she talked with John Patten and owners of two other landscaping companies regarding the conditions of our lawns. All agreed that the biggest problem was not enough water, and that reseeding aerating and fertilizing won’t help without sufficient water. She will continue exploring the best way, and finding the best company, to find a solution to the problem.

Joe Strazzere reported that the Long-range Planning Committee has found a company to help us develop a long-range plan and asked the board’s approval to hire Criterium Engineers. Motion to hire Criterium to conduct the enhanced study was made by board member Lee Page, seconded by vice-president Bob Milbury. The board approved. The company will begin an enhanced study within two weeks and should complete the study in four weeks, in plenty of time to plan long-range funding.

Maintenance Chair Lee Page reported just one issue. The back-flow preventer is leaking. Mt. A Plumbing will repair the leak within two weeks.

The Labor Day Potluck was well attended with wonderful food, as always. The next event will be a Pasta Night hosted by Deb and Joe Strazzere Saturday, October 8.

Anita Haskell reported that the contributions to the Food Bank have been very light and would like to remind all homeowners of the collection site in The Community Center.

A homeowner in attendance expressed concerns, and had many questions, regarding the board’s work in finding a solution regarding the status of the Community Center. This is still a work in progress with an attorney, and the board hopes to report a solution soon.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:50 PM.

Respectfully submitted.

Anita Haskell, Recording Secretary
