Monthly Board Meeting
July 12, 2021
PRESIDENT - President Bill Bannister called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM with all Board Members in attendance.
RECORDING SECRETARY - Secretary El Rotsko’s June minutes were accepted as written. Motion to accept was made by Vice President Bob Milbury, seconded by Treasurer Joe Strazzere. Motion passed (Minutes on file for review).
TREASURER - Treasurer Joe Strazzere presented his June report stating we continue to remain in good financial standing and he was able to transfer our normal $1,450 to our reserve account. He also noted the monthly income from our association fees was $7,140 in total. Motion to accept the Treasurer’s Report was made by Vice President Bob Milbury, seconded by Chairperson Lee Page. Motion passed (Report on file for Review).
BY-LAWS/COVENANTS - President Bannister reported that the By-Laws Committee will be presenting their recommendations for the Board to review in the near future. Once the recommendations have been accepted, a meeting will be scheduled with SPEHOA homeowners for their review and approval.
MAINTENANCE - Chairperson Lee Page reported he will be ordering new A/C filters for the Community Center. He noted some residents have reported issues with their gutter drainage which he will be addressing.
SOCIAL - Chairperson Deb Strazzere reported there will be an upcoming “SPEHOA Bocce On The Beach” Tournament on Long Sands, adding that Game Night along with our Labor Day celebration will be resuming as well. Schedules for all events will be posted at the Community Center.
It was also noted that the men’s ROMEO Breakfast Club was a success with more to follow.
WEBSITE - Treasurer Strazzere welcomed any suggestions and/or ideas that could be added to the SPEHOA website (www.SpringPondEstates.org). Lee Page suggested listing home improvement contact information for homeowners who may be in need of repairs or upgrades to their property.
NEW BUSINESS - Vice President Bob Milbury addressed several issues including lawn aeration, adjusting the blade level on Patten Landscaping lawnmowers, Mainely Grass fertilizing applications and damage to our recent sealcoat applications from plows and the power brush sand removal process. He also discussed the need for additional loam on the lawns of the homeowner’s who have more sand and less soil on their property.
After some discussion is was suggested that these issues be addressed by the Long Range Planning Committee for their consideration and/or resolve.
President Bannister reviewed and finalized the Committee sign-up sheets from the Annual June 8th meeting. Copies of the 2021-2022 Committee List will be made available at the Community Center.
Motion to adjourn was made by Treasurer Strazzere, seconded by Vice President Milbury. Meeting adjourned at 7:25 PM.
